OVERVIEW

This was an individual curriculum project for Foundations of Graphics, completed in the Winter 2009 semester. The objective was to develop a geometric vocabulary through experimentation with two-dimensional design principles.

Using only four flat black squares, the meaning of the words tense, ordered, sneaky, and playful were expressed. The project developed a strong understanding of interrelationships between form and negative space; resulting in a furthered understanding of an abstracted graphic language.
