OVERVIEW

This was an individual curriculum project for Document Production I, completed in the Winter 2011 semester. The objective was to explore book design by compiling a series of information around a personal subject of interest.

The final artifact represents a visual narrative of the culture in Western Alberta, outside of Calgary’s city limits. The design is built on solid textual overview of the Alberta frontier followed by a rich photographic exploration of select rural landscapes, towns and roads. The piece is a celebration of lives lived, journey’s made and stories that continue to be informed by Alberta heritage.
